2011 VMFL Tournaments

South Delta: Rules | Schedule Day #1 | Schedule Day #2

Home of the famous Maui Ribs, the South Delta Minor Football association has traditionally kicked off the pre-season action down in sunny Tsawwassen with the Rotary Bowl.  Being a short hop from Vancouver Island, often Victoria have been seen participating in this annual event along with Valley Football teams.  Although early in the season this has been a great tournament to allow coaches get their first looks at their team. Most levels are included from Atom to Bantam over a two day period.

Coquitlam: Schedule

As a long time strong association, Coquitlam Minor has continued their annual tournament however adjusting it in recent years, moving it up to the beginning of August and changing the tournament to a 10 play scrimmage format.  This has allowed coaches and teams to have a better chance early on to see a more complete picture of how their team is looking.  All levels are included from flag to Midget over a two day period.

Chilliwack: Schedule

A quick drive out to the valley will give you some good fresh country air and some great football as every year the Chilliwack Minor Football Association puts on their Chilli Bowl played out of Townsend Park.  The younger players have several mini-games versus both Valley and VMFL teams while the older divisions will play full length games.

Meadow Ridge: Rules | Schedule

Just a hop, skip and jump from Coquitlam the Meadow Ridge Minor Football Association puts on their annual Knights of the Round Table Tournament.  Set on the fields of Albion Fairgrounds this tournament is a two day event featuring Atom and Junior Bantam on Saturday and Peewee and Bantam on Sunday.

Langley: Rules | Schedule1 | Schedule2

Mid-month the Langley Minor Football Association puts on their Golden Helmet tournament where a wide variety of teams participate including many Valley Football League teams.  This two day event is now played at the McLeod Athletic Park on the turf field and features all levels from Flag through to Midget.

Cloverdale: Rules | Schedule

The annual Cloverbowl has become another strong traditional tournament held every year around mid-August.  Played on the turf field at Cloverdale Athletic this tournament features all levels of teams from Flag to Midget over a two day period.

North Delta: Rules | Schedule

On the last weekend before kicking off the regular season North Delta Minor Football and their Longhorn teams host a two day tournament featuring many of the different levels of football.  Played on the superb grass field of John Oliver Park in North Delta this tournament is the perfect time to fine tune that football team before the real season starts.

North Surrey: Rules | Schedule

When it comes to tradition nothing speaks louder then the Annual Bronze Boot tournament held every year at North Surrey's Bear Creek Park.  Going on 41 years this year this tournament features some of the best around the league including the occasional Valley Football League team.  Like North Delta this is a final wind up before the season and hosts all divisions over two days.  Unlike other tournaments this one also runs Kickoffs and Convert attempts so each team gets to practice their entire football book.
